  1. Great product...but...

I am happy with the gaiter, it does exactly what I need: carrying my essentials in an out of the way, but immediately accessible place.

Unfortunately, I found two "issues" almost immediately...first, my calf is apparently too large, so the top of the gaiter doesn't fully secure. Not a deal breaker, there is plenty of velcro to keep the whole thing together and on my ankle, and was still secure after a 3 hour ride. The second was a small, but annoying issue: I wear knitted gloves, so every time I needed to touch the gaiter (put on, take off, get wallet or phone out), I also had to take my gloves off. I would love to see this product with...well...essentially bra-style hooks.

  2. Already falling apart

I purchased this gator from The Clymb and started using them for cold/wet days when I wear long pants on the bike. After only 5 times of use I noticed they are already starting to rip apart where the hook section of the Velcro is stitched in. It's an easy fix, but I expected a few more uses before they started falling apart. Good idea, but poor craftsmanship.

  3. Awesome idea, a little weak on execution...

I love this thing! I use it everyday for commuting. I'm surprised they don't point out that it holds a couple tire levers and a multi tool perfectly. The weak spot is the sewing. I've had it a couple of months and the Velcro patch is starting to come away from the gaiter. This needs to be sewn up like crazy. There's a lot of Velcro here and it takes some force to pull it apart. That needs to be taken into account. Fix that, and you've got an amazing product!
